A welcoming meal and a friendly face
The Oakdene Kitchen provides free hot lunches to people doing it tough. We believe everyone deserves access to a warm, nutritious meal in a safe environment — and a chance to connect with others.
Who it's for
People experiencing food insecurity, on low income, homeless or at risk, or anyone doing it tough.

Your First Visit
How it works
On your first visit, one of our team members will sit down with you to find out more about your situation and needs so we can understand how to support you best.
Eligibility
Bring a current Centrelink Income Statement and photo ID (passport or drivers licence) to every visit. Your statement must be updated monthly and show you receive under $1,200 per fortnight.
Important note
If you choose to use Oakdene Kitchen support, you will no longer be able to be a member of Fairfield RSL.
Community guidelines
We ask that you treat others with respect. Aggressive or abusive behaviour is not accepted. Staff may refuse entry if guidelines are not followed.

Volunteer with the Kitchen
We are always looking for volunteers to help us run the Kitchen. Whether it is helping prepare food, serving meals, or providing a friendly presence — every contribution makes a real difference.
